If the device is 1Gbps, it should be green -- well, if you've got a decent Ethernet cable. Cat6 at least. Cat 7/8 is better. Hardware does the speed negotiate. There aren't any hardware settings for the ports on Xfinity. This doesn't have to affect the channel that was selected in the GUI. My APs (Uqibuiti) operate in this way when DFS channels are selected. Of course, the XB7 may have different logic in automatic channel selection, but this is very much an XB7 specific hardware/software question, not an AC/AX question.
